Literature Text
Satin for the softer ones
Always touching, deep in love
Working hard to get too close
Ignoring the wound that looms above
Steel is for the harder ones
Cold to touch and never near
Shaping to the world around
Causing in their silence fear
Silk is for the richer ones
Aloof and distant as the source
Never knowing what's below
Never seeing the open sores
Leather for those tough as nails
Uncomfortable and therefore tough
In your face, not far away
And always looking strangely rough
Wear the texture on your face
What do you think?
What do you like?
The mask is of a stranger's face
Why not wear your own instead?
Always touching, deep in love
Working hard to get too close
Ignoring the wound that looms above
Steel is for the harder ones
Cold to touch and never near
Shaping to the world around
Causing in their silence fear
Silk is for the richer ones

Signifying nothing
I.
I have crumpled pieces of paper, collected from corners in my mind
I have notes, and words and terrible troubles, all unwritten on a blank
piece of paper
Typed with no hands
Sung with no voice
Said with no words
And yet I have this, still: silence.
The echo of eclecticism, of a vast void of words, signifying nothing
and everything.
You.
You have these cast out watery words which you read from my post-its
You have these notes, my words and wonderings, all written, right here
on your screen
Typed with these hollow hands
Sung with a volume-less voice
Said with the only words I know how not to speak.
Do you hear them howling in the dark?

she has said

A Poem About Nothing
And so, I lay down on the road, in the sun, and baked on the asphalt.
The man with the gas mask fetish scares me to death.
I want to die it black hair, straight and sleek, over the lack thereof eye.
The world, indeed, shall be overrun by oysters, but it won't matter because we'll all be dead things.
What if everyone else is me too?
Dear Hamlet, the answer is to not, or at least to pretend so as to get through the being itself.
Spoiler alert: you've nothing to worry about.
Because the above states the answer to all of my problems, I'll say

Well, we all have a face
That we hide away forever
And we take them out and show ourselves
When everyone has gone
Some are satin, some are steel
Some are silk and some are leather
They're the faces of a stranger
But we love to try them on
